Sips & Shots April & May 2013
Ladies, you may recall that last month Woody (my husband) and I had the great pleasure of recommending wines, spirits and beers that each of us thought would appeal to men for The Man Issue. It ended up being a pretty easy task because we both happen know what men like (wink). For this issue of SOCIAL, the assignment was to recommend products in our store that women will lust after. Another fun task! Woody – ever the ladies man – hunted and gathered what he considered to be the hottest products for women (which means he probably based his selections on the packaging or labels.) I, on the other hand, took a more intellectual approach by conducting some research and consulting our team of experts in the store. What you see here, ladies, is our compromised list of wines, spirits and beers women will love. Let us know what you think!
YOUR SHOPPING LIST (CIRCA 2013)

Troy and Sons Platinum & Reserve Whiskies – Heralded by Garden & Gun, Bon Appetit, and several reputable media outlets, these “moonshine” style whiskeys were the first ever made by a woman for women. Fun fact – owner Troy Ball graduated from Vanderbilt University.

Jenny, who manages the brand’s marketing, prefers her Whisper Creek on ice. “What I love most is that WC is attracting a lot more women to the whiskey category. It’s made with Tennessee Whiskey and then softened by fresh dairy cream and over 30 delicious southern flavors. Cheers to our hometown girl!
Skinny Girl Cocktails & Wines – What started with the Skinny Girl Margarita from TV star and entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel, has turned into a cocktail revolution.
