Week of November 1 - November 6, 2010

Dixie Stinger

Ingredients

3 oz Bourbon
1/2 tsp Southern Comfort
1/2 oz Creme de Menthe (white)

Directions
1. Shake all the ingredients in a shaker with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

 

Bourbon Lemonade

Ingredients
2 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 cups water
1 1/4 oz bourbon
Garnish: lemon slice (and mint leaves)

Directions
1. Combine sugar and one cup water in a sauce pan and boil until sugar is dissolved. Allow syrup to cool.
2. Combine syrup with lemon juice and remaining seven cups of water.
3. Fill tall collins glass with ice, pour bourbon into glass.
4. Fill with lemonade.
5. Garnish with lemon slice.

Spanish Demon Rioja Sangria

Ingredients
2 bottles Spanish Demon Rioja
1 E&J brandy
1/2 cup Dekuyper triple sec
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pomegranate juice
1/2 cup simple syrup, or more to taste (equal parts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves, cooled)
Orange slices
Apple slices
Blackberries
Pomegranate seeds

Directions
Mix all ingredients together and let stand in a tightly sealed container or pitcher for at least 24 hours in the refrigerator before serving.
