Margaritas to Die For
Ingredients
2 limes
1/4 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons water
1 cup premium tequila (like Milagro Silver Tequila, $26.99 at
Cool Springs Wine & Spirits)
2 tablespoons brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)
1 lime, sliced into rounds
coarse salt
Directions
1. Grate the zest of 2 limes into a small bowl.
2. Cut the zested limes in half, and squeeze the juice into a measuring cup to
get 1/2 cup.
3. Combine lime zest, lime juice, sugar and water.
4. Cover, and refrigerate for approximately 24 hours.
5. Before serving, stir in the tequila and Grand Marnier.
6. Rub rim of 4 glasses with sliced lime, and dip into salt.
7. Take another slice of lime, cut in half, slice under skin of lime to halfway point, and place on glass for garnish.
Paloma Cocktail
Ingredients
2 oz blanco or reposado tequila
6 oz fresh grapefruit soda
1/2 oz lime juice
salt for rimming (optional)
Directions
1. Rim a collins glass with salt.
2. Fill the glass with ice and add the tequila and lime juice.
3. Top it off with grapefruit soda.
Baja Gold Cocktail
Ingredients
3 1/2 oz pineapple juice
2 oz Añejo tequila
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1/4 oz sweetened lime juice
Juice of 1/2 lime
Lime wedge for garnish
Directions
1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktails shaker filled with ice cubes.
2. Shake well. Strain into a half-sized cocktail glass.
3. Garnish with the lime wedge.
