Victory Storm King Imperial Stout brewed by Victory Brewing Company in Downingtown, Pennsylvania - Another personal favorite, Victory Storm King is unique amongst our Imperial Stouts for its unique hop character. Not surprisingly, Storm King pours out jet black with a dark tan head. Aromas are of dark fruit, espresso, milk chocolate, caramel, licorice, and light hops. The mild hop character on the nose continues in flavor. The attack on the palate especially showcases bitterly refreshing hops which are most unusual in a Imperial Stout. Don't expect an IPA though. The hop flavor quickly fades away and moves onto full malt. This beer is just full of diverse flavors of coffee, chocolate covered cherries, hazelnut, prunes, and of course those silly hops. I love this brew. Trust me, you will too.
