Cool Springs Wines & Spirits' Featured Beer

Updated November 16, 2009

Avery Old Jubilation Ale brewed by Avery Brewing Company in Boulder, Colorado - Old Jube as I like to call it is a personal favorite of mine. Despite my efforts, this winter warmer or English Style Strong Ale just never seems to catch on. That's ok, because it means more for me. Old Jubilation pours very dark in color even for a strong ale. Aromas are of dark grains, dried fruits, and molasses. On the palate you can tell Avery used a lot of blended malt to brew this beer. In a nutshell, Old Jube has good complexity, good length of flavor, and a great price. I like it, and you will too.
